ASHG 2019

​The ASHG Annual Meeting is the largest human genetics meeting and exposition in the world, providing a forum for the presentation and discussion of cutting-edge science in all areas of human genetics. This year’s meeting attracted nearly 9,000 attendees, plus over 250 exhibiting companies. There is plenty to learn, whether you are a first-time attendee or a trainee, or have been attending the meeting for many years.

Carpermor is an international reference laboratory in Mexico City. In Summer 2019, our members participated in a 2-week intensive cytogenetics research program, where they performed common cytogenetic laboratory techniques under the direction of Dr. David Palencia.

The 68th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Human Genetics was held at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California, from Tuesday, October 16 through Saturday, October 20. The ASHG Annual Meeting is the largest human genetics meeting and exposition in the world. This year’s meeting is expected to attract over 6,500 scientific attendees, plus almost 250 exhibiting companies. The meeting provides a forum for the presentation and discussion of cutting-edge science in all areas of human genetics.

V International Symposium
of Genetics

The V International Scientific Conference of Genetics aims to provide an opportunity for both researchers and students in the field of genetics to present recently published and ongoing work. The goals of this conference are to enhance attendees’ knowledge, skills, and attitudes of the biological mechanisms key to inheritance and prevalent genetic diseases. Researchers from around the world, including the United States, Spain, and Peru, will be presenting platforms related to their work in the field of genetics. The fifth International Scientific Conference of Genetics was hosted in Chiclayo, Peru on August 8-10th, 2018 by the International Circle of Genetic Studies, Chapters Los Angeles, Navarra, and Chiclayo.

UCLA Cookies and Chromosomes Workshop

The IV International Symposium of Genetics was held by the International Circle of Genetic Studies from October 26-28, 2016, in Chiclayo, Peru.  This conference is an opportunity for researchers and students from around the world to present their work in genetics and genetic diseases.  The focus of the conference will be the technological and scientific advances in genetics that could elucidate ways to treat, alleviate, and cure genetic diseases and other health issues, such as cancer.  There will be poster and platform presentations by esteemed researchers from Spain, the United States, Peru, and more.

44th American Cytogenetics Conference

The American Cytogenetics Conference is an educational organization composed of a group of interested professionals in the world of cytogenetics. The biennial conference is an opportunity for the sharing of ideas and learning about new technologies and discoveries in the field of cytogenetics. The conference provides a collegial atmosphere with several scientific sessions for learning and ample time for networking with colleagues. Their 44th conference was on June 27-30 in Sunriver, Oregon.

(AGT) is a non-profit professional organization established to promote cooperation and exchange of information among those engaged in classical cytogenetics, molecular and biochemical genetics and to stimulate interest in genetics as a career. AGT holds an annual meeting for its members to share new genetics technologies and findings, and the 41st Annual Meeting was on June 23-25th, 2016 at the Hyatt Regency Orange County - Orange County, CA. ​

III International Symposium
of Genetics

The 3rd bi-yearly conference on genetics was held in Peru in 2014 and was hosted by the Los Angeles Chapter of the International Circle of Genetic Studies. The content was focused on scientific and technological research aimed at finding solutions to health problems. Physicians, professors, other health professionals, and students attended the lecture on a variety of genetics topics.
